Leading SAFe® – 5.1 SAFe Agilist (SA) in English

At this 2-day course, you will obtain the knowledge required for taking a leading role in a Lean-Agile company and having the optimal benefits of the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®) and its underlying principles from Lean, Systems Thinking, Agile Development, Product Development Flow and DevOps.
As a SAFe Agilist, you will be able to:
• Lead the transformation towards Business Agility with SAFe
• Lead the way as a Lean-Agile manager
• Understand the customer’s needs with Design Thinking
• Understand and set the framework for agile product development
• Understand and set the framework for agile portfolio management
At the course, you will obtain an insight into what it requires to become an agile business that thrives on a competitive market. We will take a look at how you should organize in teams and team of teams based on the key value streams. You will get insight into and obtain skills for supporting and participating in PI Planning, as well as other key events in an Agile Release Train (ART). We will learn about Design Thinking as well as other aspects of Agile Product Development that focuses on the customer. You will also obtain an understanding of Lean Portfolio Management and to start implement concepts based on this.
The course will prepare you for taking an exam and becoming a certified SAFe® Agilist (SA).
The course addresses persons who wish to have a good overview of the SAFe framework, including an understanding of the underlying principles and values. You may already be working in an organisation that uses SAFe and that you would like to have an in-depth understanding of the framework. You may also be a project or program manager, portfolio manager, department manager or a managing direct, and you wish to discover whether the SAFe framework is of relevance to us.
Everyone is welcome to participate in the course, regardless of experience. The following prerequisites are, however, recommended:
• Minimum 5 years of experience within software development, test, business analyse, product or project management
• Experience with Scrum.
Approx. 3 weeks prior to the course, you will receive a welcoming mail with instructions on how to prepare best. Preparations are not mandatory, but we recommend that you spend a couple of hours or more, depending on your current knowledge.
After the course, you have 30 days for taking the exam, and during this period we recommend minimum one day’s revision.
The course is a 2 days’ intensive workshop from 9:00 am to 5.00 pm without lodging. Please note that evening assignments may occur.
You are expected to participate actively at the course, which includes group assignments of varying duration, where you will have the opportunity to discuss and share ideas and examples.

The course will give you access to the SAFe® 5 Agilist exam, which is a multiple-choice test that you can take on-line up to 30 days after the course. After the course, you will have access to taking an exam as well as a test exam on the SAFe community platform. Once you have passed the exam, you will become a certified SAFe® Agilist and will receive a digital diploma as well as a digital badge.
Teacher and language
Our accredited teachers are experienced within counselling, coaching and management in agile teams, programs and portfolios. They combine practical experience with great knowledge about and an in-depth understanding of methods and theories. The course takes place in Danish and the materials are in English.
